Portsmouth D day Celebrations viewed on your own chartered yacht

Charter A Yacht In Portsmouth 6-8 June 2014 To Watch D-Day Celebrations

Very soon now 70 year celebrations of D-Day are in full swing from 5th to 8th June in Portsmouth remembering, giving thanks and commemorating the D-Day initiatives.

Hear The Drumhead Ceremony & Sunset Concert Afloat

My mentor in these things - skipper Trog Gooden - says  all the days offer the opportunity to sail round Portsmouth Harbour seeing as well as hearing some of the great events and activities that are planned. Trog thinks the  5th of June might just top it all; a DrumHead Ceremony at Southsea Common followed by  a Sunset Concert for Heroes with the Bournemouth Symphony orchestra. It will likely be a stunning experience from an anchorage just off Southsea Beach. There is also a Red Arrows flypast due at some point.

High tide that day is 17.30 which means access to all the points of interest is optimum and the likelihood of calmer waters is high. So if you are from a veteran’s family or simply want to engage in the D-Day experience from the comfort of a 36 foot yacht you can enquire at www.yachtsforfun.com

Come And Join The D-Day Experience

7th to 8th June Portsmouth puts on the full D-Day experience a weekend of entertainment and activities for all the family featuring military displays, re-enactments and live music from the 40′s. You can see and hear all this from your own private yacht with a skippered yacht charter from Gosport and Portsmouth.

Sail around Portsmouth harbour in style  with a chartered yacht all to yourselves a warm cabin, clean washroom and with a cooker and fridge for drinks and food.  This can be a doubly memorable and doubly rich experience by engaging with the D-Day experience afloat with food and drink packages available whilst enjoying the comfort and adventure of your own Skippered Yacht in Portsmouth Harbour and the Solent
